It's another hectic day at school. It was the usual EL meeting after school today, and I realised how much work I have in store for my classes. They have no idea what's gonna hit them after CNY. In fact, I'm still revising my scheme of work for EL. Let's hope my effort doesn't go to waste....

As usual, my lovely class has been a joy of the day, and I'm quite sure all the subject teachers feel the same way too. Yamin has nothing but compliments about the class, though he agrees that they fundamentally quite weak. Let's hope they realise that and try to work on their weaknesses, especially SS and ENGLISH. Mel, Karina and Chye Ling have been showering them with adoration too. I guess the short but charismatic FT has something to do with it. Haha.....:)

Just as usual, Broderick was up to no good, distracting his classmates. It was refreshing for a change when Audris nearly chewed his head up. He had to pick the most insensitive moment to agitate her. Watching how stunned and flustered he became when Audris growled at him was quite a sight to behold. Keep it up Broderick. One of these days, your pranks will land you in hot soup.

I guess I should have mentioned that fact when I spoke to his father yesterday. Broderick, be warned.......:)

went to the library to help friend with his work

reach home at around 5.30..

A Day When 4n2 Grew Up

Today is the day that many in 4n2 grew up. For many of them, the CIP represented a turning point in their lives. While just yesterday they were concerned new clothes, goodies for the coming new year, red packets and games to buy, today's experience might have just made them realise there's more to life than mere tangibles.

It was heart-wrenching to find out first-hand how the less fortunate members of our society are tucked away from the glamour and rapid economic advancements of our country. To be fair, at least they are being cared for by the state, and the various welfare organisations that make periodic visits to ensure their basic needs are being taken care of.

Though the class was split into 8 groups, and deployed across parts of the island, I'm sure we all returned to school changed persons. We witnessed a blind senior, looked after by a jobless son, and another who missed the cut-off date to change her nationality to become a Singapore citizen decades ago and hence is missing all the welfare benefits that the government has been dishing out. Another moment that pulled my heartstrings - a 85 year-old lady living with her mentally-challenged daughter of about 50.

Tough as it might have been, it was a real eye-opener for me, and for many of my children as well. I'm sure what they have witnessed today, will shape their character and their actions for years to come.

And this is perhaps what I signed up to be a teacher for.

ok so here's my post
For me it's an eye-opener for today's trip to the elderly's home.
Partly it's because i lost my grandma at such a young age
and it's been quite some time since i met someone that old.

I feel satisfied as i managed to lend a helpin hand to the elderly.
Altough it was quite tough communicating at 1st, i guessed
at least we tried our best =x
My group was phenomenal.Ever seen Meiling doing the washing ? haha=)
It's interesting to see frends doin housechores sometimes.
There's a sense of sympathy inside me though.
I wished i could provide even more
i guessed the handpher wasn't jus enuf for me =.=
It was due to time,and partly due to my ankle.
Otherwise i would definitely mop the floor or somthing =( .
Anyways, i guessed those who experience this
should know how to treasure people who cares for them =x.
well, including me .
I absolutely enjoyed today .
btw 3frends drop by my hse hahas .
kinda fun =x
Guess this would be part of those wonderful memories ?=)

today i did something good and i felt great about it
we went to a grandma house to chat with her and help her by cleaning her house
she look very cheerful and cute
she is now 74year old
she told us about her past which i really felt very sad for her
before we leave i told her that i will visit her again maybe in 2 weeks time
she told us that she love us because we are very kind and helpful
i also told her that i really love her too=)
she gave us red packets but we told her that we are not allow to accept it
today i really saw many things that i really never see before=)

why DISCOURAGE these Nlevel students?
following adverse comment on the way in which a secondary school principal had addressed some secondary5 normal stream students last thursday the minister of the state for education start his opinion on the issue.
The minister comments are significant as they set the tone for the appropriate manner for educator to communicate with student.
At the start of the academic year ,the principal has flash the Nlevel result to 27 girl,told them the school expect 100%passes,then advised them to seek tranfer to ITE since they are unlikey to do well in Olevels.
The minister endorsed the principal message,which he interpreted to be that student who stay on to do the Olevels would find it a tough road ahead.
But was that all the principal meant to communicate?or had she urged the student to leave schoool rather than drag the Olevel pass percentage down with a poor performance?
Any doubt should have been cleard when the principal told the press that "some.......who dont qualify for poly will end up in ITE anyway so they might as well go direct to ITE"Evidently she simply wanted the student to make the tranfer.
So,the first question should be whether it is appropraiate for the principal to urge weak student to leave the school even if the principal feels that to be in the student best interests shouldnt that be a decision made by or in close consultation with the teenager parents?
And if passing Nlevel doesnt mean one is suitable candidate to attempt the Olevel what does it mean?
Another thing to bear in mind is that many normal stream student who perform poorly at Olevel move on to looking for a job or other option rather than going to ITE so can it be assumed the extra year of secondary education is a waste of time?
Yet is they are inclined to continue studying,why discourage them?we have all heard inspiring stories of the lame bloomers in any event,when she spoke to the press the principal noted that "well over 80percent of her normal stream student who sat for the Olevel last year did well enough to qualify for the polytechnics".if so,why discourage this bunch for even trying.
One might assume the principal concern was due to these 27student being the weaking of the conhort.but the confusing part is that ITE option is only available to those who do better in Nlevel although 72.5percent if last year conhort did well enough to go on to sec 5 only half meet thge cut of for direct entry to ITE.
So if these 27 were better students who would have qualified for the ITE,why were they being discouraged form attempting the Olevel?
Looking at the bigger picture though,there will surely be some studentwho are better served by opting for ITE over sec 5 what is the best approach in speaking to such students and their parents?
wouldt it be better to promote all the advantage to joining the ITE so that they may gladly opt for it rather than suggesting they have no choice which might project an undeserved negative image of the ITE?
Indeed,the ITe should be equally promoted as an option to all students and not specifically to weaker Nlevel students .Just as some who do well at Olevel opt fopr poly studies sp,e wjp do well at Nlevel may choose the ITE.
And for those who opt to contunure to take Olevel,the message should be clear that the school is fully behind even the weakest one.That is a challenge school should not shrink from in an effort to boost percentage.
The minister said "it would be a great injustice to principal to insinuate that they wanted good school results only because their own performance appraisal and performance bonus was linked to the results.
this link raises the issue of goal congruence:does it motivate the principal to act in the best intersts of every student or does it make weak student undesirable liabilities to be rid of if possible?
School should be motiveed to support every qualifying student who is willing to try.Performance measures should be shpuld be geared to promote such an ethos.
the negative reaction of student parents and other following the incident is eveidence the principals action should not be condoned the ministers comments not with standing.Hopefully educators realise that ...

ok =)our school NA Olevel result sucks this year but it should not discourage us but ENcourage us to work harder to be better then that batch of students.i strongly believe that we should not give up!!or go to ITE just because of what the Principal say.okk let me give you 2 case here...
case1
Ambrose my cousin who hardly make it to secondary 4last year.Somehow he did but his result still sucks...he who got 29 for his prelim exam last year.But did he give up ?no he did not instead he push on with countless hours of tution and self study.yea and spending over 3ooo on tution fee.He manage to get a 16 for his recent Olevel result this year=)29 to 16 is a big leap.
case 2
another two of my friend(twins) study in GESS..
the elder sister study in the express stream the younger sister in the NA stream.
the elder sister work really hard for her Os but he end up with a grade of 18 which is not very bad.BUT the younger sister got a 10 after she took her Nlevel then to her Olevel and go on to MI...moral of the story..studying in NA for Olevel dosnt mean you will do worse then those doing in express..
JIAYO 4N2 i know we all could get good grade if we work hard enough.
plus..we got a trump card on ourside...and its Mrtan haha...

It's midweek, and I'm beat. It's been a really hectic day, and not a particularly enjoyable one with my cold threatening to develop into a full-blown pneumonia. Haha...

Got the House briefing out of the way finally. Putra as the House Cap, Kimberly the Vice-Cap. I guess they seem responsible enough. Bumped into Mei Hui and Sherlene when I was at the hawker centre to have an early dinner and had dinner with them. Well, I had dinner while they watched.... As usual, Sherlene did most of the talking, and she's hilarious.

I finally decided to visit the doctor before heading home since my cold seemed to be getting worse. Guess what, I actually fell asleep while I was at the clinic. The nurse had to wake me up to see the doctor. Rather embarrasing I'd say. Anyway, got an MC for tomorrow. Now worries, my class is well taken care of. I've assigned some work for all of them, so that they won't miss me too much. hahaha......

a few days agoi went to the toilet opps 4N3i was alonei went in & i heard hand dryer on and offi call myself not to think too much and continue what i am doingafter awhile i cant take it and i rush out of the toileti went back to class and told afew of my friendsevery1 was shockedduring recess time audris and yuan zhuang went into that toilet ,while i was chatting with 4N3 guyi saw both of them coming out quicklyafther that three of us went in together and we still heard that hand dryer turning on and offwithout anything under itomg threeof us were very scare we ran outhahatoday we went in to the same toilet again but nothing happeni think we are thinking too much=)

Hey every1,

Seeing how slow the traffichas been, I think perhaps I should contribute a line or two.

The first 8 days have gone without much fanfare, though I'm relishing the lack of discipline duties. Haha...no more discipline com. But I guess you guys can't tell hah...:)

The class has been more or less the same from the time I left them, still fun-loving and wonderful. Sure, one or two mishaps, broken souls and emotional as ever, but a great bunch of people nontheless. Zi Kai, our newest member, is somewhat of an enigma. Though I haven't gotten round to know him that well, I certainly hope to change that in the near future.

My life's is totally immensed in football now, and will continue to be for the next couple of weeks. Training 3 times a week, and with the tournament starting on 28th this month, the boys are gonna have to work harder.

The draw was held today, and I must say, we're in a good position to move into the second round, though the lack of a consistent striker may hamper that development. I do hope guys like Latif, Fauzi and Rozahid will remain calm in front of goal and not blast the ball into orbit like they do during trainings.

The focus this week has been on the oral exam, which explains why there's not much writing for the class. Well, that's going to change from next week onwards- haha :). The focus for the next 2 weeks will be INFORMATION REPORT. take note everyone..:)

On a personal note, I'm good. Liz has been in Singapore for the last 3 weeks and she's not due to travel til the week after next, so I'm kept busy with chauffeur duties, picking her up from Shenton Way everyday.

No, this is not my drinking buddy, he's my one-year-old nephew - adorable but temperamental.

It's an overcast Saturday afternoon, and I've just returned from a secret mission - X'mas present for my wife. It seems like I will only be able to get my hands on it on Monday. Just as well, she'd would have found out otherwise if I hide it at home.

The last week marks the end of my vacation, and a fitting end it was. A couple of close friends, a few new acquaintances and us met up at a diner-ktv and drank like a fish. Man, it has been so many years since I drank that much. 8 of us managed to down 6 reds, 2 whites, half a chivas, and I lost count of the number of beer jugs replaced. Surprisingly, I was still sober when I got back to the apartment, where I was putting up with my brother, who's on a 3-month assignment in Bangkok. i just woke up=)haha amazing huh?yea i know i am a pig sleep so much ..
alright i am going to post about what happen last night=)
haha yup ...i woke up around 10am in the morning yesterday...ermm pack my stuff and
went to teach kid how to twist balloon in a childcare untill around ermm 4? =)ermm it is located around ermm ...bukit batok area??haha ..
yupp kids are fun haha..so after that i went home to sleep haha=)ermm sleep untill like 6plus?...
after that pack my bag then took a cab down to esplande to meet my skater friend=)..lol ..
so reach tehre around 7 so we just sit down skate a little in the underpass...sad sia cox it is raining=)ermm after that we went to marnia to play bowling and pool=)damn fun =)ermm we finsh around 12am?

after that we put on our skate and skate in town haha ...we skate like our dad owns the street=) lol damn fun and FAST=)haha all the way from marina to plaza sing then to skate park haha =)oh so we reach skate park quite quickly haha slowly we settle down lie down our cones and start slaloming=)lol try on some ramp and stuff lol damn dark but so damn fun=)haha ermm around 3am we went to mac to eat haha=)on the way there 2 or my wheels drop off and another 1 of my wheel run out and tear haha=)i din diee=)haha i manage to get to mac around orchard tower...lol guess what i saw...

It's been so long since I last updated. It's probably due to the dull holidays that no one is updating.

Bumped into Louise yesterday at Great World City, although I had no chance to talk to her as I was in a bit of a hurry. Sorry about that Louise. :)

Anyway, I just returned from a glorious week in Lembeh, Sulawesi with Kar Hong, his wife, her brother, Vincent and Shi Jie. Greta food, greaet company, great dives. Can't wait to go there again next year.

i woke up at 12 bath and go to vivo city=)
for a company meeting ..
after the meeting we went off to my place...
then meet my dad who agree to bring us on a bird hunt=)
our objective off coming out today is to find a Dove for my magic act...
1st we went to telok blangah rise the bird shop my father is really familer with the owner
haha he told us that he dun have dove but if he does he will call us..then he say go down to serangoon north ave2 block 151...that block is the central of selling and buying birds.
so we went there=)we comb all the shop but non of them have doves of sale..my bro brough a baby pachi. or what u call a love bird=)
we go to yiochukang bird farm after that ..woah it is amazing lots of bird there but still cannot find a dove haha ..
maybe tml i will have some luck going down to gimmoh and bedok=)

this is my my complaint about Mr K.C. Tan

You won't hear about this in the media, but it's amazing how low Mr. KC Tan will stoop to

promote patronizing ideologies such as mercantalism. I assume you already know that it is not my goal to pervert human instincts by suppressing natural, feral constraints and encouraging abnormal patterns of behavior, but the opposite, but I have something more important to tell you. For those who need very specific examples in order to grasp the significance of his tracts, I'll give a very specific example: Think for a moment about the way that he can't fool me. I've met disaffected, wishy-washy jokers before, so I know that if you can make any sense out Mr. Tan's lewd, cantankerous flimflams, then you must have gotten higher marks in school than I did. Mr. Tan's theatrics have experienced a considerable amount of evolution (or perhaps more accurately, genetic drift) over the past few weeks. They used to be simply headstrong. Now, not only are they both lubricious and power-hungry, but they also serve as unequivocal proof that justice and humanity are utterly on our side and nothing but illegality and barbarity are on Mr. Tan's. How much more illumination does that fact need before Mr. Tan can grasp it? Assuming the answer is "a substantial amount", let me point out that Mr. Tan's undertakings represent a backward step of hundreds of years, a backward step into a chasm with no bottom save the endless darkness of death. While soporific, illiterate bottom-feeders have previously relied on violence to get their way, their new manipulation of meretricious grievances has combined with violence to use paid informants and provocateurs to invade every private corner and force every thought into an unrestrained mold.

Mr. Tan claims that everything is happy and fine and good. Well, I beg to differ. Particularly telling is the way that he wants to be the one who determines what information we have access to. Yet Mr. Tan is also a big proponent of a particularly grotesque form of barbarism. Do you see something wrong with that picture? What I see is that he is indubitably up to something. I don't know exactly what, but Mr. Tan hates people who have huge supplies of the things he lacks. What he lacks the most is common sense, which underlies my point that no one likes being attacked by rummy, rabid propagandists. Even worse, Mr. Tan exploits our fear of those attacks -- which he claims will evolve any day now into biological, chemical, or nuclear attacks -- as a pretext to promote a culture of dependency and failure. If you think that's scary, then you should remember that I have always been an independent thinker. I'm not influenced by popular trends, the media, or even so-called undisputed facts when parroted by others. Maybe that streak of independence is what first enabled me to see that if anything, I enjoy the great diversity of humankind, in our food, our dress, our music, our literature, and our forms of spiritual expression. What I don't enjoy are Mr. Tan's rude obloquies which pooh-pooh the concerns of others. While there's no use crying over spilled milk, all of the bad things that are currently going on are a symptom of Mr. Tan's deranged, revolting half-measures. They are not a cause; they are an effect.

It is far too easy for Mr. Tan to use fear, intimidation, sedating substances, and other tools to convince muddleheaded oafs to canonize disreputable low-lifes as nomological emblems of propriety. You might contend I'm telling you this because I like to beat up on him. Really, that isn't my principal reason. I don't especially need to beat up on Mr. Tan, because he is already despised by decent and knowledgeable people almost everywhere. He whines about voluble, materialism-oriented proponents of Stalinism, yet Mr. Tan enthusiastically supports fickle, ribald twits. While this country still has far to go before people are truly judged on the content of their character, you should not ask, "What accounts for his prodigious criminality and dissipation?", but rather, "Is it really his impression that genocide, slavery, racism, and the systematic oppression, degradation, and exploitation of most of the world's people are all thoroughly justified?". The latter question is the better one to ask, because this is not wild speculation. This is not a conspiracy theory. This is documented fact.

Yes, you heard me right; Mr. Tan claims that going through the motions of working is the same as working. I aver that the absurdities within that claim speak for themselves, although I should add that I cannot compromise with Mr. Tan; he is without principles. I cannot reason with him; he is without reason. But I can warn him, and with a warning he must unquestionably take to heart: Mr. Tan occasionally writes letters accusing me and my friends of being jackbooted antagonists. These letters are typically couched in gutter language (which is doubtless the language in which Mr. Tan habitually thinks) and serve no purpose other than to convince me that he's planning to exploit issues such as the global economic crisis and the increase in world terrorism in order to instigate planet-wide chaos. Planet-wide chaos is Mr. Tan's gateway to global tyranny, which will in turn enable him to undermine serious institutional and economic analyses and replace them with a diverting soap opera of deplorable conspiracies. I try never to argue with Mr. Tan, because it's clear he's not susceptible to reason. As for the lies and exaggerations, his monographs are not our only concern. To state the matter in a few words, there is no place in this country where we are safe from his votaries, no place where we are not targeted for hatred and attack. Mr. Tan's antics are based on a technique I'm sure you've heard of. It's called "lying".

Mr. Tan can't attack my ideas, so he attacks me. It could be worse, I suppose. He could develop a Pavlovian reflex in us, to make us afraid to fight for what is right. Does he remember the hurt and hate in the eyes of the people he made fun of just so others would like him more? Even if he does, I'm sure he doesn't care, because the ultimate aim of his maneuvers is to restructure society as a pyramid with Mr. Tan at the top, Mr. Tan's pals directly underneath, selfish quixotic-types beneath them, and the rest of at the bottom. This new societal structure will enable Mr. Tan to violate the basic tenets of journalism and scholarship, which makes me realize that he is incapable of looking with an open mind at anything that doesn't strictly endorse his views. To cap that off, if I hear his flunkies say, "We have no reason to be fearful about the criminally violent trends in our society today and over the past ten to fifteen years" one more time, I'm going to throw up. The militarism "debate" is not a debate. It is a harangue, a politically motivated, brilliantly publicized, oleaginous attack on progressive ideas.

While we all despair over Mr. Tan's obdurate, frightful rejoinders, we must also remember the principles that will guide our better behaviors and higher aspirations. Look, sententious derelicts are more susceptible to Mr. Tan's brainwashing tactics than are any other group. Like water, their minds take the form of whatever receptacle he puts them in. They then lose all recollection that it's not the boogeyman that our children need to worry about. It's Mr. Tan. Not only is Mr. Tan more blinkered and more insidious than any envisaged boogeyman or bugbear, but what really irks me is that Mr. Tan has presented us with a Hobson's choice. Either we let him base racial definitions on lineage, phrenological characteristics, skin hue, and religion or he'll conceal information and, occasionally, blatantly lie. The best advice I can give to a group is to debate the efficacy of Mr. Tan's condescending epigrams. That's pretty transparent. What's not so transparent is the answer to the following question: Why does Mr. Tan always have to be such a party pooper? A clue might be that Mr. Tan commonly appoints ineffective people to important positions. He then ensures that these people stay in those positions because that makes it easy for Mr. Tan to cause an increase in disease, masochism, crime, and vice. Does he have a point? I definitely doubt it.

I believe in "live and let live". Mr. Tan, in contrast, demands not only tolerance and acceptance of his calumnies but endorsement of them. It's because of such lethargic demands that I assert that he will do everything in his power to slow scientific progress. No wonder corruption is endemic to our society; Mr. Tan may unwittingly vilify our history, character, values, and traditions. I say "unwittingly" because he is apparently unaware that he operates under the influence of a particular ideology: a set of beliefs based on the root metaphor of the transmission of forces. Until you understand this root metaphor you won't be able to grasp why somebody has to raise the quality of debate on issues surrounding Mr. Tan's unpatriotic bruta fulmina. That somebody can be you. In any case, if Mr. Tan's plan to undermine everyone's capacity to see, or change, the world as a whole is to be discouraged then the wisest course of action is to supply the missing ingredient that could stop the worldwide slide into commercialism. Before we start down that road I ought to remind you that every time he tries, Mr. Tan gets increasingly successful in his attempts to propound ideas that are widely perceived as representing outright boosterism. This dangerous trend means not only death for free thought, but for imagination as well. Mr. Tan's expedients are an icon for the deterioration of the city, for its slow slide into crime, malaise, and filth. What if we collectively just told Mr. Tan's stooges, "Sure, go ahead and replace discourse and open dialogue with damnable codices and blatant ugliness. Have fun!"? That would be worse than goofy; it would ignore compromise and focus solely on his personal agenda.

It's quite easy for Mr. Tan to declaim my proposals. But when is he going to provide an alternative proposal of his own? To rephrase that question, what happened to his common sense? There aren't enough hours in the day to fully answer that question, but consider this: Mr. Tan's approach is generally to seize upon an anecdote or a narrow and limited manifestation and/or purpose, and then totally blow it out of proportion to justify his bitter hariolations. Let me try to explain what I mean by that in a single sentence: The problem with Mr. Tan is not that he's crotchety. It's that he wants to impose a particular curriculum, vision of history, and method of pedagogy on our school systems. Mr. Tan should learn to appreciate what he has instead of feeling so oppressed because he can't do everything he wants, every time he wants to. I understand that the spirits of our ancestors grieve as they watch him sully a profession that's already held in low esteem, but his idiotic claim that freedom must be abolished in order for people to be more secure and comfortable is just that, an idiotic claim.

Mr. Tan will fail if we unite. For proof of this fact, I must point out that Mr. Tan's true goal is to label everyone he doesn't like as a racist, sexist, fascist, communist, or some equally terrible "-ist". All the statements that his janissaries make to justify or downplay that goal are only apologetics; they do nothing to take action. He has been known to say that we should all bear the brunt of his actions. That notion is so jealous, I hardly know where to begin refuting it. Mr. Tan's objectives feed on ressentiment of inferiors towards their superiors. This means, in particular, that Mr. Tan is right about one thing, namely that fear is what motivates us. Fear of what it means when self-centered blowhards expose and neutralize his enemies rather than sit at the same table and negotiate. Fear of what it says about our society when we teach our children that Mr. Tan's sound bites enhance performance standards, productivity, and competitiveness. And fear of unstable incubi like Mr. Tan who substitute breast-beating and schwarmerei for action and honest debate.

If you can go more than a minute without hearing Mr. Tan talk about sadism, you're either deaf, dumb, or in a serious case of denial. He ignores the most basic ground rule of debate. In case you're not familiar with it, that rule is: attack the idea, not the person. Some laughable muttonheads have raised objections to my snow jobs, but their objections are all politically motivated. One of Mr. Tan's former fans, shortly after having escaped from Mr. Tan's iron veil of monolithic thought, stated, "It would be nugatory to discuss Mr. Tan's hastily mounted campaigns without first mentioning that some capricious reprobates don't have a clue." This comment is typical of those who have finally realized that Mr. Tan's indiscretions are not an abstract problem. They have very concrete, immediate, and unpleasant consequences. For instance, Mr. Tan's teachings all stem from one, simple, faulty premise -- that our elected officials should be available for purchase by special-interest groups. As I conclude this letter, let me remind you that my goal in writing it was not only to create and nurture a true spirit of community. I sought also to use this letter as a means to make a cause célèbre out of exposing Mr. KC Tan's metanarratives for what they really are.

So the most hardworking teacher in the world wants to give a couple of tuition sessions and my kids tell me they're not free? Well, you can't blame me if you don't do well ok?

Anyway, let me tell you something about our V.P. Yes, Mrs June Siew. She has this habit of sending teachers loads of websites and information about English, and unsurprisingly, I don't pay attention to most. Today was an exception. It's a pretty interesting website, where you test your vocabulary skills. Here's the part I like most - for every answer that you get correct, the sponsors will donate 10 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Programme. Being the skeptic that I am, I keyed in the address, and guess what, I was stuck for half an hour after that.

Of course I didn't get all the answers correct, but I kept going, knowing that every answer gives someone somewhere an extra morsel to eat.

I bet that everybody is enjoying their holidays. Well, don't forget to do some revision of what you have learn this year so that you are prepared for next year. Frankly speaking, I didn't enjoy my holidays. For me, my results are not satisfying. Now still doing my revision before 2008 come! I felt that time is running so fast. Hahas.

It seems that the class BBQ is amusing. I'm sorry I couldn't attend the BBQ because I'm having a leadership training camp. It was fun anyway. Firstly, before I tell you what happen during the camp, let me share with you what I want to achieve during this camp. Well, simply to have fun, get to know the councillors better, get new friends and experience and to built up our leadership skills. During the camp, we have different activities which most of the objective is teamwork. For the ice-breaker, we play colour code and international handshake. I could felt the bonding between councillors and the new sec 1 elects.

For the lunch, its the sec 1s who organise the foods and cleaning. I really like the training company. Instead of organising the camp smoothly, they organise chaos for the sec 1. During the lunch, everything is mess up. After lunch was dragon boating. Unfortunately, I was not allowed to participate the mentioned activity. Is it boring being on the land for a few hours? NO! It was fun playing games with the other councillors and the instructors. We teach the instructors how to dance the "chicken dance". Hahas. We added something in between. Having so much fun doing forfeits and everything. I miss the trainers. They also teach us new games.

While having so much fun, I lost my spectacles and I haven't told my mum yet. After dragon boating, we went back to school and have our dinner and after that was the debrief. Before debrief, we are given time to clean up and also we are given a task. For the sec 2s, they were supposed to plan a game per group for the next day while the sec 3s were supposed to do a debrief for the sec 1. So, me and huda talk about the ice breakers. I could see that the sec 1s were really tired which results them not to respond to my questions but it was a good experience of how to handle this situation.

While the sec 1 were sleeping, the sec 3s were having a long debrief with the teachers and instructors. I was trying to keep my eyes open all along. After that, some of the sec 3s didn't sleep. We have fun eating and telling stories at the dry dock while the others were sleeping but along the way, I slept. In fact, I think I am the first one to sleep among them. When I woke up, I was at the middle of the dry dock while the others were so far away from me. I was like.. Where are they? It is dark so I couldn't see anything. I saw Johan sleeping on the bench, some where somewhere at the corner but me? I'm in the middle of the empty space at the dry dock.

The second day was quite tiring as we didn't get enough sleep. In the morning, we assembled at the basketball court. We were given an unblown big balloon. What are we suppose to do? We were divided into 2 groups and we are supposed to blow the balloon which is so BIG! Well, it takes up a lot of courage not to give up. After that, we used the ball to hit it. It was call "moon in the air" or something like that. Everytime we hit the ball is consider as 1. If the ball drop down, we have to go back to zero. From playing over 2 groups, we combined. How many hits do we make? We targeted 180 if i'm not wrong but we get 200 over hits. WOW! The important lesson learn is strategy and communication. There were more games which I would like to share.

I would like to thank Ms Lim and Ms Chua and also the school for the camp. I have achieved what I want. New things learn, new friends make and new faces been seen. Thats all I could share for this morning. See you all next year.

Halo everyone.

It's Wednesday morning, 12.30 a.m. Still awake coz I still have to finish a couple of reports to be ready for school in 5 hours' time. Like I've always said, holidays are only appplicable to students.

Anyway, just came back about 50 minutes ago with Suan Lam for tea. Must have spent about 2 hours with him. As usual, we talked about school, and family.

But the highlight of the day must be the fact that I've collected my keys to my new apartment. had to plaster masking tape all over the place because I intend to spend the next few days to paint the wall of the living room. I'm glad we got it as it's sooooo far from civilisation. I heard nothing except for the screeching sound of insects emitting from the forest in front of my apartment. And it's only 5 mins from the beach. Isn't it cool. I'll open it for the next class bbq if 3N2 doesn't mind the distance. :)

Spoke to Liz for about 10 mins since she's in Bangkok. Guess I'll have the whole place to myself untiil she returns on Thursday. Haha....

Gotta get back to work.

The weekend's coming to a close, and it's back to action for me tomorrow. At least it's a short week. :)

Like many of my kids, I had a great time at the bbq. Feels good to be hanging around them - makes me feel young. Haha. Thanks for a wonderful time people. :)

I arrived late, about 6.30. Minutes after I reached, Peicheng, Si Le and a couple of others started leaving. Must be the way I smelled. :) Wish they had stayed though. Poor Azmeer had to make 2 trips just to set up his tent, so that he could sleep outside of it. Maznoh, Qianzhuang, Yiling and Brod - you guys are horrible. At least Yiling helped to organise the bbq. Maznoh spent most of his time eating, and hopelessly trying to land a fish. The score is still 3-0 isn't it? LOL

Y'know, I've been trying for 2 days to upload the stonefish I caught, but to no avail. My stupid phone is giving me problems again. We'll see if it works later.

Yiling's mum and sis dropped by. It was wonderful to have spent some time talking to them. Isn't it so heartwarming so see a family that's that close. How envious. :)

Yiting spent so much time cooking that I'm sure she must have had a avalanche of pimples by now. Let's hope she used a generous dose of facial cleanser when she got back.

In the end, after sending the girls home, I managed to crawl into bed, totally exhausted at 12 midnight. It was fun though.

Chia Lee, such a wonderful artist, to have come up with cute class T. Great job! Simply luv it.

Looking ahead, next week promises to be quite exciting. I'm getting the keys to my new apartment tomorrow, and that means I'll be spending the next couple of afternoons at Loyang, cleaning up, doing some repairs and giving the apartment a new coat of paint. I'll try to take some shots to let you guys check it out.

Meanwhile, keep updating yah?

ermm yeaaa.....hello sorry for the late post...ermm lets start from start=)hopefully u all will understand why i post so late=)

so yea...NOV2 yea it is a EXTREMELY fun day=))
i woke up early like ermmm 8plus?then yiling call around 10 asking me to wake up
haha but my mum answer and told her that i am sleeping(im just beside her)so yeah HAHA kana prank by mother and son=))so yeah go down to NTUC to get chicken wing=)3packet i took the wrong one but the cashier din notice so yea i get a packet of drumstick not chicken wing=)
so yeah went home and "play" with the chicken lol it take about 4hour before it is ready=))so i play psp and sleep during that time=)after that my daddy drove me down to east coast park ..the weather is not good =(on the way to the bbq saw chialee and audris haha their shirt are big lol maybe too big for them=)
so yea help start the fire=)but the fire keep on disappearing so i disappear skating with the rest haha=)sorry guy yeah after that i came back and help yiting start the fire again=)yeahh we did it haha=)so yeah went on to cook stuff=)then disappear again =)then when i come back mr tan is already here yeah they set up their fishing rod and start fish=))quite fun to see them fish=)yeah so slack a while took audris and chialee to the bowling centre to watch tv lol yiling family is also there.went back to the class and slackk haha after a while the mr tan took a group of clown home=)like around 9-10?so yeah here come the part that u guy did not experience=)

there are only like amzeer,yiling,muznoh,qianzhung and me left in the bbq pit haha
we spend 15min talking and discussing where should me go and we decide that we should go to bedok jetty haha=)so yeah after that we pack our stuff and clean up the place then i help amzeer together with qianzhung to close the tent yeah it is kinna fun=)so after that we took our stuff and went to the play game=)haha yeah machine game it is =)quite fun la i play the train game haha=)spend around 10bucks there=)so after that they walk to bedok jetty yeah and talk a lot on the way there lol qian zhung is getting sleeping lol around 1plus so yeah we stop at the market 1st to rest our feet and drink=)coke that is not beer haha=)then walk walk walk to bedok jetty haha=)there is a super bright toilet near bedok jetty=)so help amzeer set up the tent and watch muznoh set up the rods=)we have no BAIT!!!
haha so we just cast the fishing rod without bait hoping to get fish=)ermm qian zhung is asleep haha=)for the 1st hour no fish the 2nd hour too so around 3-4am muznoh notice a apeh so he ask me to go to ask and his him for new line ermm yeah so i went there before i can speak the apeh say xiao di yao sain ah? that mean boy u wan line ah?lol yeah i notice he is selling line to a lot of people muznoh told me that he make his won line and sell to us=)so yeah it is good right after we change line i got a bite haha=)yeah it was so small fish so musnoh use it as a baityeah it was kinna fun overall muznoh and amzeer keep on disturbing qian zhung loltrying to stop him from sleeping lol(the dark side of buang)ate bread and slack lor while wating for fish haha then i fall asleep it was fun la sleep in the tent with qian zhung haha yeah the tent is big so amzeer and yiling squeeze in muznoh sit outside waiting for another bite end up he come into the tent and sleep also then amzeer sleep out side haha i slept from 5 to 6 lol then woke up by my mum call waa when i wake up it was frecking cold haha=)yeah went to the toilet to wash up=)the rest is boring took a cab home then bathe then take my thing and go to work=)reach around 11then slack there for a while then workk ahhh i slept during work =)after that i go home=)ermm ya so i reach home at 5 and sleep untill now=)))

So we wait for the others to come.

Later take MRT to bedok.
Then, take Bus 32 to BBQ Wholesale centre.
With Audris, XinYing & YiTing.
Took cab to ECP.

Reached there and saw our classmates.
Went over to put our things down.
Distributed the class tee.
Collected seashells :D

After that, went cyling with Louisa, Audris & ShaoMin.
It was so fun!
We almost reached the end.
But too tired to carry on.
Cycled back.
The sky was getting darker.

So we went back.
Retuned the bike.
& went back to eat :D
The food was nice.
Thanks for helping to BBQ :D

Wanted to watch TV.
Went to the Bowling place.
It was quite noisy.
But its ok.

TODAY WAS EXTREAMLY ENOJOYABLE!!

okok wait wait i'll start from the beginning la hahas.
woke up at around 10plus?

my dad drove me and louise to the clementi central.
we had much stuffs to carry.
phew, thank god that Si Le,Shaomin,Meiling and Peicheng came
to helped us carry the stuffs

we met the rest.
then we took the mrt to bedok
we spent most of our time standing.
Finally, we took a taxi to our destination

WAIT WAIT WAIT!
weather wasn't our side at 1st.
BUT! everything went well few hrs later =)
Isn't God good X)

Spent my WHOLE afternoon cycling
at 1st, i cycled with Louise till we met a dead end
we then took a U-turn and went the other way.
We saw Qian Zhuang and Jiahong LOL

In the end, 4 of us cycled back to our bbq pit.
Later,cycled with Qz,Sm,Brodz,Jh yahh
YAA! Yiling,Yuan zhuang and Shanshan came later

It's been a while since I last updated. It's been nothing but meetings almost everyday. Discipline com, National Education com and Student Development com today. I'm not sure if all the meetings going to be productive really, though I do empathise the teachers involved, like Fahizah, Chye Ling, Vivien and Kelvin. The follow-up today's meeting gonna be quite tedious.

Hah, I also warned the Principal about a petition going his way. Why? simply because the new uniform, erm, the badge to be precise. The students are kicking such a big fuss over the iron-on badge taht's replacing the current pin-badge. I actually suggested to a few councillors write a petition to be signed by at least 500 students and to present it to the P if they hate it that much. Let's just see if they do something about it. My guess is - they probably won;t do it and they're just gonna get used to it.

Needed to sort out the Elective Modules for 2008 as well. Motorcycle repair, hairstyling, baking, culinary, e-biz setup, video game production etc. So what do you think? R u gonna like it?

Tomorrow's Friday. It should be fun meeting up with the class, although I'll have to negotiate through another liong day of meeting. EOA in the a.m., Discipline, again, in the p.m.

Gotta get those fishing equipments out....:)

Well, the school has finally come to a close, where the students are concerned. The day passed without much fanfare, unless you consider the dreadful hall programme something to cheer about. I'm not entirely convinced of the need to have one in the morning to give away certificates, and another to dish out Appreciation Cards to the cleaning crew, who I must add have done a wonderful job keeping a zoo like ours clean. God bless them.

Almost all the Sec 1 classes performed a skit each. Initially it was kinda of fun I suppose, but after the third act, I was almost ready to jump off from the third floor. It was almost as entertaining as watching snails race by then.

Form Teacher period was alright though. Managed to settle all the admin stuff, I think. Cleaned the classroom [really :)] Fed the clowns the potong ice-cream I brought while they sorted out the intricacies of organising a bbq and class-t.

I nearly choked on my durian potong when Chia Lee showed me the sample. The design's great, and the material looked really comfortable, if you're in Alaska in the middle of winter. :) I just hope they will feel comfortable in those fashionable dri-fit material that's about a centimeter thick.

At the end of it, I suppose they have to find out for themselves. For some reason, I think it's gonna make it to the bottom of their wardrobe and left to rot there. :)

Ok, enough of me being nice.

I'll truly miss all of you.

Chai Lee's so right. The year end's approaching, and tomorrow's the last day of school. It should be a good thing, since it's been a long year. For some strange reason, I guess I'm gonna miss those rascals. I guess most of them feel the same way about the class.

It's been a strange ride this year. Great class, wonderful colleagues, crappy work. Looking back, I suppose some aspects could have been different, and better, if I had insisted on things my way. But that's life I guess. Forward we strive, they say.

I'm watching Live the Dream, and trying very hard to sit still whenever Victor Tang comes on. It's absolutely heartbreaking to watch someone embarrashing himself in front of the nation. Seriously, the only thing I look forward to is the judges' comments, which has been highly entertaining, though critical, throughout. :)

Fendy should win hands down. No doubt. Then again, anything can happen. Afterall, Victor's still around.

Anyhow, they've got this cina-beng as a guest judge, and he's shamelessly hilarious. His Singlish is absolutely cracking. The lahs, hors and mahs are out in full force. :D Absolutely refreshing! Love it! :)

Poor PM Lee is probably crinching by now. :)

I'm gonna go back to my TV now. By Definition is coming up next.

DEDICATED TO THE INDOMITABLE 3N2

It has been a glorious day.

I've witnessed how a class of 26, given an unreasonable short amount of time, conquered what must have been a momentous task - Talent Quest.

Led by the unflinching Chye Ling, 3N2 overcame a series of challenges - a scarcity of performers, manpower, funds and a form teacher who hardly lifted a finger to help (haha!). Boy did they put up a good show. It was simply remarkable. The emcees were great, the logistics were smooth, the cast lived up to the billing, and the school throughly enjoyed themselves. At least, most of them anyway.

Kudos to the teachers - Yao Wen, Azidah and Veronica to contributed with their musical talents. :) The judges were, well, rather harsh I'd say. They are students afterall.

At the end of it all, I saw kids like Broderick, Aisyah, Fatimah, Xin Ying, Louisa and Yiting emerging as leaders. I saw how the rest supported them in their own ways. Shiya, Jiamin, Yiling, Yuan Zhuang, Shan Shan, Shao Min, Mei Ling, Audris and etc working tirelessly to get the decorations up and products ready for sale. Estina and Chia Lee did a wonderful job coming up with the decor; Si Le, Louise, Pei Cheng running around backstage preparing the prizes. Even the boys, often touted as lazy and free-loaders, chipped in as if their lives depended on the event. Well done Maz, Latif, Azmeer, Zhen Jie, Jia Hong, Qian Zhuang and Kok Leong. Yes, you read correct - even the strong and quiet type like Kok Leong, whom I suspect would rather be in a LAN gaming joint.

In essence, EVERYONE CONTRIBUTED. GREAT JOB!
Hmm, I sound like a proud parent. :)

It's late, and I just got off the MSN with audris and broderick, not to mention talking to a parent in between both of them.

One is worried about her results, another about his camera. Funny how different one's priorities are different from another.....

Broderick's bringing his camera to school tomorrow to show off .(haha!) He's gonna take a class photograph for the blog, and I promised to give him my used camera bag, in return for a kopi c. GAY attack last night during night cycling at ECP
i went to ECP for night cycling yesterday actually wan to bring skate and turn it into night
sktaing de but i realise it will be hard to urban skate in that place.but there is a argo skater who skate the whole long rounte(STRONG)my mood today is extremely bad because of the GAY attack
i really hate my friend for being such a gay trying to touch me and stuff but they are different from
latiff latiff is not gay untill like really like guys but that frecking gay wan touch me almost punch his damn face!...AND I HAVE TO WORK WITH HIM!!!

I SCREW UP A BIG PROJECT!!!
feeling really down now just an interview in the pub for performance
we actually expect a really good respond and contract for this pub...
right after the rehersal i went to bugis to eat with yiling and yuanzhuang
yea i was really hungry that time=(i think i should treat them better cause they have high chance of retaining
i cannot bear to hear the fact that they are going to retain ..really sadded..haix
after that go to goldenlandmark to perpare for our act of the night my friend say that yiling got gu tian mei(vintage look)he like girls with vintage look i wonder why haha=)
so around 630pm the whole company is there we make our way to payalaba to meet the pub manager...then we started...the 1st group to perform is by 2 of the more senior member in the company jazz and jannson is clown and magician..they screw up too they forgot their line and jannson forgot his patter next up is me and ttk
everything is going fine untill the finale he pull out the wrong ring causing people to boo!!then
we peisei screw up the whole damn act losing the contract...F***.!!!!
haix i have another show tml no feel do le ..but if i dun do sat and sunday shwo i wun have the moeny for new lens...crap today sucks!

Well, well.....I guess I have some free time on my hands now that the yer is coming to an end.

In truth, there's much left to be done. Generation of marks, release of results, remarks, cca, counselling, discipline, meetings, meetings and more meetings......and of course, MORE ADMIN WORK. :(

Anyhow, Somyot, one of my best friends, just flew into town for a meeting last night. Since he's only here for a night, I had to oblige him, with a drink. So we went to Clark Quay last night, with my wife of course. I must say, it has changed quite a bit since I last went there, which was sometime like 2 years back. I was busy snapping away with my camera phone while they settled at a pub called Clinic, which is essentially dressed up like a hospital ward. With drinks served in syringes and wheelchairs as seats, it was quite a novel idea. If only they were a little more generous with the alcohol in their drinks. After one drink, we decided to head to Crazy Elephant, which gets my vote for the best drinking hole in Singapore, even after all these years.

Anyhow, I left them halfway and reached home at about 12.30am, a tad too late for a weekday, especially for an old man like me.

Met him for dinner at Kim Seng earlier today, right before he had to fly off. Again, with wife, and his colleague...Top. Hope they enjoyed the dinner. :)

School's okay today I suppose. It was quite sombre in the morning, as results were released. I sincerely hope all of them did well enough to progress to Sec 4, though in reality, that will be a bit of a stretch. :(

To those who have done well, congratulations. To those who have tried but not make the mark, I'm sorry.....:(

he have always been a really good teacher...i will really miss him if he just leave the school but it is his choice=)i rmb last year when he 1st step into the class..untill today we have change and he have too ...i rmb MrLai scolding us during science class sometime for nothing=)but now it is totally diff i believe 3n2 loves his PE lesson and the storys he told us=)those story he told us also help us in your science i ace it also thanks to him=)yea now that really great guy is going...we are going to miss him for sure ...

i felt uncomfortable
so i decided to sms atikah
she told me it is HOLIDAY
i was pissed off
gosh.
really fed up..
so i went back home

waaa super tired man just went home ..just finsh a show at snow city today=)haha

actually im going to in my friend house staying overnight today as it is his birthday..but my mum dun allow..actually i wan to go genting de then i tell her then she say "you can save that money that u go lor."ya then actually going genting on 13nov de then now i alrdy save like a thousand bucks?isnt that more then enough..then recently i comfirm with her the date i going then she say cannot go le ...because of that im angry with her over a few day.then today also lor i call her after my show wanting to inform her that im going over to my friend house to stay then she say cannot ...then i say can i at least count down with him untill 12(it is his birthday) then she say cannot 11 plus must come home alrdy...so i just say anything and hang up ..when i reach home i nv spoke a single word with her im not going to untill i get some freedom i deserve and she promise.

Just came back from dinner with mr chan and his wife, mr koh, mr bryan lim, mr heng, mr woo and my wife at upper bt timah to celebrate mr chan's promotion and mr heng being voted TEACHER OF THE YEAR. Fantastic food and great company!

The last couple of weeks have been good, with no CCA and meetings, although we're back to the regular routine next week. Well, at least I'm gonna enjoy my next few days. Looking at getting the new psp slim.

Broderick came up to me and told me about his new 400D. Silly boy! He should have gotten a nikon. :) Anyway, I hope he got a second-hand set. I wonder what kind of lenses he has to go along with his new camera..........

I feel terrrible for aisyah. At least she's found out what needs to be fixed. Don't worry aisyah, the doctors will fix your problem and you'll be as good as new. Take care in the meantime yah?

woahhh today is an extremely tiring day man haha
i woke up early in the morning and took a taxi to ambrose house to get my jeans
after that i go to JE for ice skating with a lot of people haha=)it was fun i got the feel of it after a few min even if it is the 1st time im skating on ice haha=)it was pretty much like in line skating=)after that i went to watch "balls of fury".the movie ..waaa super boring man=)
then went on to west coast park to skate and slack haha stay there for a few hours i fall asleep there man haha=)guess im too tired man ..WOAHHH CAN RELAX LE EXAM OVER HAHA=0

did study .rather unbelivable.

Hey there! Its me, Aisyah here. First time writing a post in 3n2 blog. Good job for those who create and design this blog! Its nice! I love it.

Today, i was absent as the pain at my back is getting worse and i'm getting worried about it. So, i went to Jurong Medical Centre. Actually i was lost searching for the clinic. :P The clinic is under orthopaedic surgery. Went there to see a consultant, and when he scanning through the x ray given by the reference which is Clementi Polyclinic, i was told tat i have listhesis or sumthing like tat which is SOMETHING to do wif my backbone. he told me tat there is a crack somewhere below and my spine is not straight. its slunted a bit. when i see the x-ray, the doc was ryte.. it is not straight at all which causes me to feel the pain. well, he sent me to physiotherapy on Nov 1. i still searching the meaning orthopaedic.. hahas. well, the treatment tat i have to go thru are physiotherapy assessment, physiotherapist's discretion, heat therapy, and back care class. =P
so, ya. have to bare the pain. nxt two daes is hari raya. so, lots of preparation need to be done. when i return to school, i have to meet the principal to give him the letter tat i am exempted from all competitive games and physical fitness test for two months until futher notice. gosh. i could get fat!
